Christmas presents

Christmas presents

{ Yoga bra & pants from Moonchild Yoga Wear, Face mask & Body oil from Rudolph Care, Shoes from Will’s London }

So Christmas is old news by now, please bear with me, because I’m still pretty excited about the presents I received. So many of the things from my Christmas wish list found their way under the tree, and I’ve been enjoying them so much ever since.

The yoga clothes are comfortable and they somehow make my yoga practice seem more serious and I really want to turn it up a notch as soon as I’ve found a schedule with this new job thing.

The face mask and body oil from Rudolph Care are incredibly luxurious. I use the mask a couple of times a week and it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturized, which is so necessary these days with the colder weather. The body oil is the perfect way to end a nice warm bath after a long day at the office.

The vegan shoes from Will’s London are not exactly season appropriate, nevertheless I’ve already worn them several times as they are really office appropriate, comfortable and go with everything in my wardrobe. They are perfect. Nothing more, nothing less. I was quite nervous about the quality, because the price was incredibly fair, but so far, I’d say the quality is just as good as I’d expect from leather shoes. Only I haven’t had to kill my feet walking them in as I usually do when I get new leather shoes.

I’m still not sure about this vegan leather thing. On the one hand I’ve changed my diet to be much more plant-based, and so I feel it would make sense to also stop buying leather. However, as I’ve changed my diet due to environmental reasons I can’t close my eyes to the environmental impact of vegan leather, which is not great. Before putting Will’s London shoes on my wish list I wrote them an email asking about this, and they actually got back to me with a really long and thorough answer. I will get back to this as soon as I know more about the pros and cons of vegan leather. So far, all I can say is; that I’m still contemplating what the better choice is and that my shoes are really nice!

  1. I’m looking forward to a post on that subject. It’s a tricky dilemma and I’d love to learn more about the pros and cons. Wonderfully written and beautiful blog, by the way. One happy new reader here 🙂
