Good Things Birthday edition

Good Things Birthday edition

{ Birthday mornings }

Last week was such an amazing week filled with good things. In general it was pretty good, but the all overshadowing event was definitely by 30th birthday on Wednesday. it was the best day! My favourite person had planned everything, and all I had asked for was good food. Which I got and then some. The night before he told me to pack a small suitcase, but wouldn’t really give me any hints as to what I should pack for (a struggle, when you’re not able to pack light even when you know what you’re doing). He then woke me up on my birthday with a small breakfast and presents in bed, followed by a delicious brunch at 100 Wardour Street in Soho. We then had to catch the train and by then I realised we were going to Brighton. We’ve been to the small costal city a couple of times before (check out my eco city guide to Brighton here), and it’s such a lovely city, made even better by the fact it’s on the coast – I love the sea. What I didn’t know was that my mom and sister would be waiting for, and it was such a lovely surprise to see them there. After dropping off our luggage at the hotel we headed for a delicious and over the top afternoon tea, a walk by the beach and a ended the day with a delicious dinner at Food for Friends. Waking up to a view overlooking the sea and getting to spend the better part of the next day in Brighton was just icing on the cake. I don’t think I could have asked for a better start to my thirties.
