You know that old sweater you’ve had for years that has holes in it, or that dress that doesn’t really fit anymore or that top where the colour is looking a bit too washed out and that you’ve been meaning to throw away for ages?! DON’T!!! Because most textiles are entirely recyclable! Yet the amount of textiles that goes to waste is heart breaking. The London based fashion brand is one of the pioneers when it comes to Fair trade and ethical, sustainable fashion, and the brand can be proud to say they never comprise the people in the supply chain or our planet for their products. Founded by Safia Minney more than twenty years ago, the company has had great success focusing on creating an alternative to fast fashion, by working closely with Fair Trade and artisans, to create garments that are hand crafted in organic cotton and sustainable materials, using traditional skills that support rural communities. It’s time for another brand feature, and this time it’s one of my latest discoveries; Swedish Stockings. It’s funny how you find the perfect things when you’re not even looking. When a new month arrives I always want to find new inspiration. This November inspiration seems to be all about classic, minimalistic and simple workwear. Whether it’s due to turning another year older last month or the appearance of new opportunities is hard to tell, probably it’s a combination of both and I can’t wait to see what the next couple of months will bring.
