Sundays in London

Sundays in London

Sundays in London must be my favourite thing ever. We always make them a combination of work and fun, and on sunny days like the last one, they feel especially special. Last Sunday we decided to change our usual Eggs Florentine for something different. Without a plan we headed to Shoreditch, wandered around for a bit and came across Barber & Parlour on Redchurch St., and we absolutely loved it. A perfect hipster hangout, with a shop, a barber and café all in one. The atmosphere and the food was on point, and I’m already looking forward to our next visit. Continue Reading

Inspiration from Pinterest to my outfit #2

Inspiration from Pinterest til my outfit

I love when I find a look on Pinterest that I really like and realize I have almost something identical in my wardrobe. That’s the case with this weeks inspiration. I’ve always had this thing with stripes. I think they’re classical and an interchangeable item. But, finding a sustainable winter coat turned out to be way more difficult than I’d expected. Continue Reading

From summer basics to fall stable

Fall has definitely arrived in London and so it’s become necessary to figure out how my garments can change from being summer basic to fall stable. Last week was quite sunny and warm but the beginning of this week has been as rainy and grey as you’d expect London fall weather to really be. Luckily, it’s not quite cold enough for a winter jacket (I didn’t bring one, so I’m on the lookout for a sustainable alternative – please let me know if you have any ideas), but layering has become necessary. Organic cotton pros and cons

organic cotton pros and cons

Cotton is one of the most common fibers in the apparel industry. Most garments in my wardrobe are made out of cotton, most garments in yours probably are too. Cotton is used in jeans, T-shirts, jumpers, shirts, underwear, etc. Everyone owns something that’s made out of cotton, most of us owns a lot. But few of us realise what cotton production is actually doing to our environment and to the farmers that grows it. As the fiber is getting more and more recognition as a sustainable fiber, I think it’s important to look at organic cotton pros and cons before blindly trusting it’s praises. Continue Reading
